MBA Management for Central and Eastern Europe, Europa-Universität Viadrina
The European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) is the eastern most University in Germany. The word Viadrina comes from Latin and can be translated in upon Oder.
Since its reestablishment in 1991, the European University Viadrina has been following its fine tradition which goes back to the 16th century. At the same time, it has risen, however, to the challenges of the modern age.
Internationality
In an international context, Viadrina’s main emphasis is put on Europe, focusing especially on Poland and Germany, as well as on Central and Eastern Europe and the European Union. However, the Europe-oriented concentration doesn’t exclude the reference to non-European countries – Viadrina maintains contacts with approximately 200 universities worldwide.
This international emphasis is reflected in the range of teaching provided, including multilingual courses of studies, student exchange, international lectures as well as foreign language education in accordance with the European standards.
More than 6 000 Students from more than 80 countries are enrolled and have chosen Viadrina astheir place of study, due to its unique concept.
Study directly on the German-Polishborder
The Collegium Polonicum – a teaching and research institute sustained by Viadrina and the University of Poznan – stands in Slubice, just 50 meter distance from the Frankfurt’s bridge and from the boarder on the river Oder. In the context of extending Europe, Collegium Polonicum has developed as a scientific and cultural forum between Poland and Germany. Its boarder location offers the students the possibility of studying in both Germany and Poland.
