Focus / Curriculum

The MBA Corporate Management is an MBA in General Management. The MBA-students acquire all-round management skills in order to get all necessairy qualifications to perform successfully as a global executive. During the first year of study the MBA-students take 17 different core courses which provide key qualifications for successful management. The courses cover all relevant aspects of corporate management with the main focus on business and management skills, leadership and international competence. In the second year of study students can choose courses out of a wide range of courses offered by the Spring1-term during their seven week full-time study at the Katz Graduate School of Business in Pittsburgh/US and choose afterwards the electives in Augsburg according to their individual preferences. To finish their study, the students have to write an academic thesis that must have a strong corporate link but also offer a sound academic approach to the topic.

Experience and Innovation - the University of Pittsburgh (AACSB-accredited)

This is the reason why students spend 7 weeks of the course at the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Students form Augsburg find themselves assigned to international teams and become part of life on campus. This means that they are able to improve their cross-cultural understanding by coming into direct contact with the people, language and tradition of other cultures.
