The World’s Top Distance-Learning MBA programs
For the first time the Economist
Intelligence Unit (EIU) has published a ranking of the world’s top
distance-learning MBA programs. Important to note is that the data used to rank
full-time MBA programs are of little use concerning distance-learning MBA
programs. For instance salary date is not as relevant because many students who
choose distance-learning MBA programs continue their previous job after the
completion of their studies.
Furthermore, networking does not play such an
important role because much of the program is studied in isolation. Thus, the
quality of the virtual learning materials is of great importance. The EIU
ranking is based of the following criteria: content of the program, quality of
fellow students and distance-learning element (e.g. materials). The Warrington College of Business in Florida ranks first, followed by the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and Warwick in England. Amongst the top ten distance-learning MBA programs are seven European business schools. For a full methodology and more details, visit: http:\mba.eiu.com
